WE ARE WELCOMING.
God could have closed his doors and shut us out, but instead he shared himself with us. First, by walking in the Garden with our first parents, Adam and Eve. Then, in condescending as the Son of God, Jesus Christ. We seek to open our lives to others as God opened the door for us to have relationship with him.
Holiness
WE TAKE GOD SERIOUSLY.
In a culture that can check a box that says “Christian” with little commitment to that identity, we seek to be different. We seek to be those who see Jesus Christ as our Lord. We seek to obey what he has commanded while not adding to his commands or taking any away. We are committed to living in the tension of both knowing we fall short, and yet seeking to constantly repent and trust Him anew in obedience.
Humility & Happiness
WE DON'T TAKE OURSELVES TOO SERIOUSLY.
We want to be a joyful people who live as forgiven children who laugh. We also want to be humble people who realize how amazing it is that God loves us despite all our problems. We look at ourselves, and we see a work in progress. We look at others and we see their worth and value above our own.
Spiritual Hunger
WE LOVE TO LEARN AND LIVE IT OUT.
We love the Good Book and we want to discipline ourselves to read it. We do it together! We love to read other good books that help us know God more. Also, very importantly, we love to take what we learn and apply it to our lives that we might continue to grow as disciples of Christ.
